Police Department UpdatesBoat/Water SafetyBe sure to use your life jacket as you would use your safety belt in your car! New Police CarsThe police car fleet will have a new look coming soon. You will now see two 2005 Ford Expeditions added to our fleet which replaced a van, jeep, our Chief's car and a forfeited vehicle. Grant ReceivedThe Police Department received a $2,200 grant from CenterPoint Energy and this will be used for equipment for our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). February 08, 2005There seems to be some new faces around town. Deephaven/Woodland currently has two interns working with the department. On any given occasion you might see one of them assisting an officer on a call or answering the phones at the department. Both interns are wearing light blue uniforms. If you see one of them, be sure to say “hello”. Sept 20, 2004Our First Woman Officer was hired for the Police Department. Her name is Bridget Joyce and we welcome her to our Community. Sept 10, 2004It’s official! Deephaven/Woodland Police Department has appointed Virgil Gustafson to be this agency's new Police Chief. Over the years, Chief Gustafson has served the communities of Deephaven & Woodland as a patrol officer and Lieutenant. July 12, 2004Farewell Police Chief Harlan Johnson. Chief Johnson has served the Cities of Deephaven & Woodland as a Police Officer since January 22, 1990. He has resigned to accept the position of Executive Director of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association. July 12th marked his last day of service and he will surely be missed. July 02, 2004Make sure to wave, it might be a new face in that squad car. The Deephaven/Woodland Police Department recently hired Officer Matt Case to fill a vacancy left by the departure of Officer Tom Gregory. Don’t forget to ask for Matt Case if you call down to the department, because now we have 2 Matt C’s. |
